BLAST OFF
Pinball meets kinesthetic arcade gaming.
Blast Off is a collaborative project alongside designers Aurora Henderson and Julia Smith. When tasked with reimagining the concept of pinball from the ground up, we created a larger-than-life and oh-so-addicting game.

The result is a simplified game mechanic. A 2D area whose borders can be activated by the press of a button in order to keep the bouncing star in its bounds. We created mobile pedestals for the buttons in colors respective to their representative borders. These pedestals can be moved into any arrangement to change the level of physical challenge the player(s) are seeking- increasing or decreasing the distance needed to run between pedestals to activate the border.

Julia Smith, Aurora Henderson, and I worked collaboratively on all elements of this game, including the graphics design & animation, coding, and woodworking.
