LOLA

LOLA is a stop-motion film about a vivacious burlesque dancer with an eerie twist.

The process of directing and producing this film allowed me to play many roles- because of this, LOLA is one of my all-time favorite projects.

The character came to life as a ball-jointed doll which I 3D modeled on Blender, then 3D printed and assembled using elastic string. I colored her body using acrylic paint and used liquid latex to create peelable skin.

Costuming consists of scrap fabric, rhinestones, and wiring as well as yarn for the hairpiece.

The background is entirely 3D modeled and digitally animated via Blender.

The stop-motion footage was recorded at 10 fps on a Canon EOS Rebel T7 camera and edited via Adobe Premiere Pro, with some additional effects in Adobe After Effects and Adobe Lightroom.
