UNVEILED

"Cora Jones, a media arts, design, & technology (MADTech) student, developed "Unveiled," a futuristic AR filter that reimagines the concept of the bridal veil."

Unveiled is a two-piece project consisting of a physical mask and an augmented reality filter, reversing the concept of the bridal veil from modesty into vanity and spectacle.

Rather than concealing the face to symbolize purity and reverence, I used mirrors and SFX to multiply and magnify the face of the bride. The digital filter was made using Snapchat's Lens Studio and the 3D elements were sculpted in Blender.

This piece was featured on the cover of Designlife Magazine 2024 representing the future of design technology.
