Windhover is North Carolina State University's annually published, award-winning literary and art magazine.

As this was my first volume as the Design Editor for Windhover, I asked myself, why me? What did I want to bring to the table? 

​

In collaboration with my assistant Katharine Spanberg, I answered this by shifting gears in a new direction, drawing from zines and punk culture to create a bold design language that would urge people to pick up the magazine and read it. 

​

This is the first issue ever to feature a person on the cover. The cover itself, photographed by me, earned multiple national awards alongside the overall design and contents of the magazine.
